Summer 2025 Arts & Culture
Although the summer is often regarded as a quieter time of year for galleries and musical performances, there is still plenty to do and see in New York City, across the US, and internationally. This week, we鈥檝e gathered our wishlist of exhibitions and performances this summer – we look forward to seeing how many we can check off the list!
New York City
There is a lot to do in the city this summer. First of all, there several major museum exhibitions up though August that you have to add to your list, if you haven鈥檛 seen them yet:聽,听, and聽. There鈥檚 also聽聽at the Morgan Library & Museum through mid-September. In August,听聽returns to the renovated Delacorte Theater with Twelfth Night, featuring an all-star cast including聽聽Peter Dinklage, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Lupita Nyong’o, and Sandra Oh.
Hamptons
The main event of the Hamptons art world this summer is the聽, running July 10-13 at the Southampton Fairgrounds. This international fair is touted by Forbes as 鈥渙ne of 12 most notable art fairs/events in the world this year worth investing your time and money on.鈥 The fair features over 100 galleries from all over the world promoting the best in contemporary and modern art. Visit our sister company, Anita Rogers Gallery, in Booth 223 this year where they鈥檒l be exhibiting work by聽,听,听, and聽.
In terms of galleries outside the fair, we are particularly excited to see聽, featuring the work of ten local artists.
London
The National Gallery is hosting, a show that was previously on view at the Met in New York City. If you didn鈥檛 get a chance to see it there (or need a second look!), we highly recommend making the effort to visit.
Los Angeles
The Getty Center has a wonderful exhibition of聽up through August 10. The Getty Villa reopens at the end of June and is now accepting reservations.
Paris
opens this weekend at the Centre Pompidou and runs through September 22. This will be your last chance to visit the Pompidou for years; starting in the fall, the building will close for renovations and doesn鈥檛 plan to reopen until 2030.
Venice
If you love Venice as much as we do, you might look for any reason to visit the beautiful city. Last year, we enjoyed the Art Biennale and this summer, you won鈥檛 be disappointed to visit the聽
